In North America Raves are legal and here in Canada the scene is growing. I can't understand why anyone would make raves illegal, it is the perfect way to release built up energy. I have never seen a violent outbreak at a rave, so what's the problem.
I hope you continue to fight for your right to rave in England; hey it's a cool country with wicked music.
I totally respect your music and it is great high, or straight. Your web site is great too... this is my first time on Internet. Your music is excellent.

People always criticize what they do not understand. Rock has always been demonized when it is exploring new textures . It is all music to me. I have always loved Gong and Steve Hillage music because of the stunning guitar work, so I am happy he is back in Music on Record. I remember Green and Motivation Radio.
I have been a spastic since birth , and I work hard for disability rights in America. It is so hard to be on the dole and alone. I love to dance in my wheelchair. Music helps me cope and to feel. I have a broken heart right now. I am happy that Steve and Miquette are still with each other after all these years. Please send me good vibes and let me know when you will come to San Fransico/Oakland/San Jose California area so I can dance at the show please!

Hi. I think you can throw this in their face. ALMOST ALL WESTERN MUSIC BESIDES CERTAIN KINDS OF FOLK MUSIC AND MODERN "CLASSICAL"MUSIC (ie. Bartok, Stravinsky, you know what I mean) AND MOST NON-WESTERN MUSIC IS CHARACTERIZED BY REPETITIVE BEATS.
So the bill is obviously targeting music in general. The baet and pulse in jazz, pop, easy listening is allconstant AND GENERALLY REPETITIVE, for better or worse. I am NOT a big fan of techno, though I love ambient music and your music, but I AM AN EVEN BIGGER OPPONENT OF LAWS THAT OPPOSE MUSIC IN GENERAL! Therefore, if they barge in on an event you are playing at, switch the music to Barry Manilow or the Beatles, and then insist they arrest you for playing music with repetitive beats. Then you can tell the press how the government has labelled all music in general as subversive. They are targeting you because you are not efficient in their view of economy, or that's how they are behaving. So set it on fire and throw it in their face. Or, have a protest at the government buildings, mixing back and forth between techno and Sinatra/Manilow/streisand. That may get the point across. Or just tell the press what I just rationalized. ALL MUSIC IS SUBVERSIVE. There. Wanna get the backing of all musicians, maybe worldwide? Tell the Musicians' Unions, and they will publicize it worldwide! And maybe something will be done about it.
Of course, it is 1996 (I just read the date on your article!- oops!) . What has happened since?

I´ve been in the nagual's party since the first tensegrity seminar that took part in mexico city, if your interested the next seminar is taking place on september 27-29 in Mexico city as well. Maybe you two already know about tensegrity. Tensegrity are exercises designed by the old seers of antiquity of mexico to bring the energy body near the physical body.
